UPDATE: This afternoon, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Anita Among received a copy of the book “Woman in the Eyes of God”, authored by former Member of Parliament, former Minister and women’s rights activist, Miria Matembe.

In the book, Matembe highlights the constraints to gender equality, stressing that one of the major barriers preventing women from realizing their potential and fully utilizing their God-given talents is the misinterpretation and misapplication of religious teachings.
