On Thursday, 18th December 2025, the Speaker of Butandiga Town Council, Mr. Peter Weduku, presented BCU Arabica coffee to Eng. Julius Nakiyi, the NRM Flag Bearer for MP Budadiri East, during his campaign engagements in Butandiga Town Council.
The symbolic gift underscored the community’s confidence in Nakiyi’s leadership and their belief in his commitment to uplifting local livelihoods.
Receiving the coffee, Eng. Nakiyi emphasized that agriculture remains the backbone of Budadiri East’s economy and a key pillar of his development agenda.
He reaffirmed his focus on value addition, improved productivity, and farmer empowerment, particularly in coffee-growing communities that sustain thousands of households across the constituency.
Eng. Nakiyi further committed that, once elected, he will actively support farmers through practical interventions including the provision of engine spraying pumps, quality seedlings, and fertilizers.
He noted that strengthening agriculture is not just about promises, but about delivering tangible support that raises incomes, restores dignity to farmers, and drives sustainable economic transformation in Budadiri East.
