NRM National Treasurer, Amb. Nekesa Leads Aggressive NRM Mobilisation Drive Ahead of January 2026 General Elections



The National  Resistance Movement National  Treasurer, Hon. Amb. Nekesa Barbra Oundo has embarked on a high-energy mobilization tour throughout Bukedi Sub-region, particularly Busia District, engaging communities at the Village, parish and Sub-County levels.

Her stretegic plan is anchored on the party’s deep rooted structures, ensuring that every household is reached through organised, systematic and people-centered engagement.



The NRM has intensified its grassroots mobilization machinery as the country approaches the 2026 general elections, with Amb. Nekesa engenging as one ot the central figure, steering the campaign momentum.

As the head of the Bukedi Sub-region campaign Taskforce, Nekesa has launched a rigorous, well coordinated mobilization campaign, aimed at securing what party leaders, especially flagbearers discribe as an "over 90% win for President Yoweri Museveni and all NRM candidates.



What Is Her Strategy? 

Bukedi Sub-region Takes center stage in NRM'S 2026 Strategy: 
    Nekesa has embarked on a high energy mobilization tour throughout Bukedi, particularly  Busia District, engaging communities at a village, parish, and Sub-County levels. Her Strategy is anchored on the party’s deep-rooted structures, ensuring that every household is reached through organised, systematic and people centered engagement.



During  her meeting with party leaders, parish committees, village chairpersons, opinion leaders, and mobiliizers, Nekesa has emphasized unity, discipline and factual communication of NRM'S record. 


She has consistently urged the structures to stay focused on door-to-door engagement strengthen support surveillance at the grassroots and coordinate closely with NRM flagbearers to prevent vote fragmentation.

Her mobilization efforts are reinforced by NRM’S new Parish-based door-to-door Strategy launched on the 5th of December 2025.

This nationalwide Strategy deploys 63 members team to every village in Uganda, bringing together representatives of youths, women, elderly and local councils. The aim is to reach over 13m votes through personal engagement, household, visits and structured community meetings.

Nekesa leadership in Bukedi aligns seamlessly with this national approach as she works to actively to strengthen these teams to ensure full coverage of the Sub-region.

In her mobilization tour, Nekesa has prioritized:- 

●Interactive community dialogues to listen to citizens' concerns. 
●Tracking locals development gaps for onwards submission to government.
●Educating communities about ongoing development programmes.
●Resolving disputes with in NRM structures to ensure a united campaign front 
●Aligning message with a national presidential campaign Strategy. 

Her engagement style rooted in accessibility and hands on interaction has resonated strongly with village level leaders who view her as a bridge between the people and central campaign command. 

The socials economic transformation at the heart of the camping message:- The mejor highlight of Nekesa's mobilization message is thr government’s focus on social economic transformation, especially trough the pdm, she has emphasized that pdm andcomplementary programs such as Emyooga, youth livelihood funds, women enterprise support and agricultural extensions services are designed to uplift household from substance into human economy.

Mobilizers under her supervision have been tasked to ensure that citizens understand these programmes, join enterprise groups and fully utilise available government  funds to combat household poverty. 

Strengthening ordinations across Bukedi:-  working closely with District leaders, members of Parliament and nrm flagbearers.
Hon. Nekesa has established a coordinated mobilization rhythm  across the Diatricts of Bukeddi. 

Her aim to harmonise massaging, streamline operations and eliminate internal divisions that could undermine the parties message. 

Party leaders in Bukedi  Sub-region  credit for restoring organisation discipline and enhancing the signage between national, District and village structures.
