It was high tension yesterday in the studios of open gate radio during the Itolondo political show hosted wvery Saturday by senior Emman Watundu, as two rivals, Hon. Wanda Richard & Masaba Muhamood meet one on one.
The friction was a result of a tough question asked by Emma Watundu, the moderate.
Watundu asked Masaba Muhamood to explain several issues, including how he had found the grounds.
In his response, Muhamood accused Wanda for clinging on President M7 and Gen. Muhoozi's photos, noting that Wanda is breaking the party rules and confusing nrm supporters.
"It is wrong to print your posters and put the president and Gen Muhoozi in the background, yet you are an independent candidate"- Muhamood.
He further said that Wanda deliberately refused to get out of the race after losing the nrm primaries.
"When Wanda showed interest in contesting in 2021, I was at the forefront to vote hunt for him and he won both the nrm flag and finals, he went to parliament and forgot what took him there" -Muhamood.
Muhamood said, it is the reason why he opted to contest.
"We sent him to parliament but he failed to perform, I want to go and perform because I've got the ability, therfore, let Wanda join me because he shamelessly lost the primaries. Imagine being the 4th in the race and claim you were cheated"-Muhamood.
Wanda responded by saying that the nrm primaries in Bungokho were not free and fair.
He claimed that Muhamood had connived with other officials to cheat the elections.
"I couldn't just pull out of the rece yet I know what transpired, I was cheated, his agents went in Nabumali TC and started jubilation on the eve of the elections, they proclaimed how they had cheated the election and won"-Wanda.
Wanda also gave a point of correction into the allegations of Using president Museveni’s photo and that of Gen Muhoozi.
"There is no rule in the nrm that stops me from using president Museveni’s photo, or that of Gen Muhoozi. He added that the party only restricts the use of a bus as symbol if you are independent, though nrm leaning"- Wanda
Wand further assured Muhamood that he has the authority to vote hunt for president Museveni and himself as well.
Both asked voters in Bungokho Central to entrust them with their votes because they are the right candidates.
