Umukuka IV, Jorum Mayatsa welcomed by Thousands Of Bamasaba (Babukusu) In Kenya

Umukuka IV, His Highness Jorum Mayatsa, was today Saturday welcomed by thousands of Bamasaba (Babukusu) from Kenya.

In his speech to the crowd, he preached peace and unity among Bamasaba from Uganda and Kenya, condemning the purported Umukuka Mudoma for allegedly aiming to divide them by claiming they are Bagisu.

Mayatsa urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers for the Imbalu launch on August 1st.

Mathias Nabuteri, Prime Minister of Inzu ya Masaba, said colonialists divided Bamasaba by creating the Lwakhakha boundary between Uganda and Kenya, but they are one people.

Joseph Weyuya Masafu, who has relatives in Bungoma, affirmed the unity of Bamasaba people across the border.
