Meet 19 year old Nelima Modesta from Bukatsa village, Nyondo parish, Nyondo subcounty. She is a student of Nabumali SS who has lost hope of registering for UCE exams after her parents neglected her.
It’s believed her mother went to work to an unknown district while her father who hails from Masalire village in Bumbobi Subcounty chased her away from home and even assaulted her sexually.
Currently she lives with her maternal grandmother Tuluka Fairose in Bukatsa, Nyondo parish, Nyondo subcounty.
Since senior one, Modesta has never paid a single coin and they are demanding her fees arrears totalling UGX 760,000. And to make matters worse, she has lacked UGX 180,000 to register for senior four this year and the deadline is almost coming.
Her Grandmother confirmed that she has tried to make ends meet but things have totally failed.
Modesta appeals to all well wishers to help her finish senior four with all kind of support.
