Mobile money hacker put behind bars by police in Mukono

Police in Mukono managed to track down and apprehend a one Kaporonyo sabiiti a 48 year old mobile money hacker who has been terrorizing mobile money agents in Mukono district and the surrounding areas.

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga the suspect is a resident of Namugongo who has for long been hacking through the mobile money systems of the the agents and dealers including stealing the money from their agents lines.

“the suspect made millions of shillings from hacking into these mobile money systems and stealing money from agents in Mukono, Jinja, Misindye, Kira division, Kinoni, Nagalama among others.” Enanga said

Enanga says the suspect was arrested with his motor vehicle, Toyota harrier Reg. No. UBD 612P being impounded by their security team.

Enanga further disclosed that, the suspect had customised his number plate making it hard to be easily detected while driving under the CCTV cameras that have an automatic number plate reading ability.

“we recovered 4 other Airtel lines that he was using for hacking into the systems of these mobile money dealers and agents.” Enanga revealed

Enanga stressed, that their joint security agencies will continue tracking down and apprehend such kinds of criminals that keep terrorizing the innocent business community across the country.
