A couple which had just retired from kyeyo after over 30yrs in Zurich Switzerland was murdered at their retirement home in Entebbe.
David Mutaaga and his wife Deborah Mutaaga-Nabeeta (in pic) were both found dead lying in pools of blood.
According to preliminary reports provided by the area police OC, David and his wife Deborah were murdered by stabbing at around 21:00hrs on Sunday night.
David’s body was found at the gate area while his wife Deborah’s body was in the bathroom.
There seem to have been a scuffle between David & the murderer from inside the house up to the gate where his body was found.
It is said, his wife reached out to some people by phone regarding the attack while she was still alive after sustaining wounds and informed them about the ongoing attack. That was probably when David was chasing to get hold of the attacker.
Her body was also found lifeless in the bedroom due injuries caused by the stabbing.
There is no indication of forced entry at the crime scene(the home has a perimeter wall and the security cameras) which were not tampered with at all. The gate is remote controlled. All doors were intact inplying that the killer had a smooth access to the premises using keys or was already inside the house.
The victims had hosted a couple of guests during the day and they reportedly had two casual laborers to help them prepare for the guests during the day who had also left for homes in the evening. They were only two in the house by the time of the attack.
Police is going to retrieve videos from their home CCTV to ascertain the truth about all this. The two bodies were taken to the City mortuary for postmortem.
