Wanyoto to Sponsor 10 Nakaloke Youth for Referees Course

Counsel Paul Mugoya Wanyoto has committed to fully sponsor 10 youth from Nakaloke to attend a Referees Beginners Course scheduled to run from 30th July to 5th August 2025 at Nkoma SS, Mbale City. Each participant is required to pay a registration fee of Shs100,000.

The pledge came after youth from the community requested his support during the final match of his football tournament between Army Fire and Mango Safari, held at Nakaloke Playground.

The event, which attracted thousands of supporters, marked the climax of a spirited competition that has been running for weeks, showcasing talent and promoting unity within the community.

The Winners, Army Fire received Shs1 million, Runners-up Mango Safari Shs500,000, third place, Shs300,000, fourth Place, Shs200,000 and all participating teams received a ball and a replica jersey.

Wanyoto expressed his gratitude to the community for their love and Hajji Isma for organizing this successful tournament, saying, “I am grateful for this love. I pledge to serve you, and I know you’ll love me too.”

Hajji Isma Mukakadi, the chief organizer, thanked the community members for their overwhelming support and praised Wanyoto for his commitment to promoting sports.

"I will support Paul because he promised to fulfill all the pledges I made during my NRM campaigns for the flag. He urged voters to back  my brother Wanyoto in the 2026 parliamentary race, because he is the right person," said Mukakadi.

"I don’t segregate by religion or tribe. The person I support is our own son of great Nakaloke. Let’s all stand behind him." He added.

Mbale Northern City Division Mayor George Mwanika appreciated Wanyoto’s efforts in nurturing talent, recalling that Uganda’s first national goalkeeper hailed from Nakaloke, Let’s unite behind Wanyoto to rebuild our division.

Wanyoto’s Nakaloke football tournament is one of many sports initiatives he has organized, including events at Gangama Primary School, Namanyonyi, and more upcoming in Namabasa, Kalonyi, and Bukonde-Lwasso.

As an independent candidate aspiring for Member of Parliament for Mbale Northern City Division in the 2026 elections, Wanyoto called on voters to support him in his mission to rebuild the city and restore its lost glory.
