NRM Mobilization parish Mobilisation meetings
& Funds refers to funding activities associated with the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Uganda's ruling political party led by President Yoweri Museveni.

The resources allocated for grassroots mobilization, campaigns, and supporter outreach, especially ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Key Contexts from Recent Reports NRM actively funds mobilization efforts through party structures and government-linked programs.

Examples include:Providing motorcycles to village chairpersons and leaders to support grassroots campaigns (e.g., in Busia District, as stated by NRM National Treasurer Ambassador Barbara Nekesa Oundo: "NRM has funding for mobilization").

Allocating resources for door-to-door mobilization drives, such as in Jinja, Iganga, and Busoga sub-region, flagged off by Minister for the Presidency Babirye Milly Babalanda in December 2025.

Supporting specific initiatives, like a UGX 100 million soft loan fund for creatives (MCs and media panelists) in the Elgon region, launched under mobilization efforts.

These activities tie into broader NRM strategies, such as parish-based grassroots campaigns and promoting government programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, and youth funds to build support.

Controversies and Criticisms of Opposition parties accuse the NRM of using state resources for party mobilization. For instance:A recent supplementary budget included Shs300 billion under State House for "youth mobilization tours," criticized as a disguised campaign fund.
Village mobilizers have complained about lack of support and threatened defection, highlighting internal grievances over funding distribution.

NRM leaders frame these efforts as routine party-building and development outreach, emphasizing unity and communicating achievements at the grassroots level. In summary, while not a formalized "fund," NRM mobilization involves significant financial and logistical support from party and government sources to strengthen electoral and ideological presence.
